In this episode of “Not Every Woman,” we were privileged to host Sidra Anwar, Director of Land and Rehabilitation at CDA, who shared her remarkable journey of passing the highly competitive Central Superior Services (CSS) exam on her first attempt. Despite being a woman, she rose to the challenge and made her mark in a male-dominated field, which she candidly described as a daunting task. Sidra’s impressive accomplishments have not come without their share of challenges. As the only female in her current office, she has faced a number of obstacles, especially in the field, where she often found herself in unfamiliar and difficult circumstances. However, she has been able to overcome these challenges through her unwavering determination, perseverance, and the support of her family and husband, who have been her rock throughout her journey. Sidra’s work in the field has not been without its risks, and she has had to face extremely dangerous situations, such as firing, while carrying out her duties. Despite these challenges, she remains undeterred and committed to her job. In her current role, Sidra has also taken on the formidable task of combating land mafia, which has proven to be a herculean task. Her unwavering resolve to see justice done and to make a positive impact in her community has earned her the moniker of an “iron lady.” Sidra’s story is a testament to the resilience and determination of women who dare to break barriers and defy societal expectations. Her accomplishments serve as an inspiration to countless women, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and make their mark in the world.
