With over 35 years of leadership experience, Mr. Khaliq has held various key positions in many organizations including Mobilink (now Jazz), Instaphone, Motorola Inc., Orascom Telecom Holdings, GSM Association, Gemini Holdings (Sawiris Family Office), Dhabi Group, Millicom International Cellular, the ICI Group, and PWC Consulting. He was part of the early launch team of Mobilink in 1993-96 as CFO, and later served as CEO from 2003-08, leading the largest mobile operator in Pakistan and one of the top 5 fastest growing mobile companies in the region. Mr. Khaliq is a member of various boards, including mobile operations in Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Jordan, Islamabad Stock Exchange, Ignite Fund, advisor to the Better Than Cash Alliance, UNCDF, and non-executive director at Du (Emirates Integrated Telecom Investment) Holdings Limited. He is also a member of the Prime Minister’s Task Force on IT & Telecom, non-executive director at Engro Foods, non-executive director at Pakistan Television Corporation, advisory board of FieldForce LLC, a software analytics company, and the Board of Regents at Harris Manchester College, Oxford University.
